Here are a few home remedies that will provide you relief.
Lemon has a number of health benefits and has been in use for decades to treat various infections. It is an excellent source of Vitamin C which is known for its antiviral properties and fights off any viruses which might result in infections. Vitamin C also hinders the growth of mucocele and prevents any further inflammation.
It is a rich anti-oxidant and assists your body in maintaining the blood vessels, connective tissues, skin and bones. It is very effective in quick healing of the cyst. Extract the juice form a lemon and carefully apply it over the cyst using a cotton ball. Take care to see that your fingers don’t touch it as it might lead to further infection. Let it be for a few minutes. Repeat this procedure 2 to 3 times every day. You could also use orange juice instead.
2. Tea Tree Oil:
Tea Tree Oil is well known for its exfoliating properties. It has anti-bacterial, anti-septic and anti-fungal properties that fight a various number of micro-organisms and prevent infection. It has the ability to penetrate deep into the skin and relieve sores. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which help in reducing the swelling and relieving any kind of itchiness and redness that may be accompanying it. Add a little honey to tea tree oil. Honey is also known to have anti-bacterial properties which help with the inflammation. Rub it on the mucocele and leave it on for a few minutes before you wash it off. Do the same two times a day to see the effects.
3. Tea Bags:
Teas are a rich source of anti-oxidants which greatly help in quick healing. The polyphenols in them are life savers when it comes to treating any redness on the skin. It is better to use green tea bags as they contain a compound which is responsible for its anti-inflammatory properties. The tannic acid also contributes to reducing the inflammation. Wet a tea bag and let it cool in the fridge for around half an hour. Take it out and gently press it over the bump for a good 15 minutes. Repeat this procedure 3 times a day or until you get some relief.
4. Aloe Vera:
