It also improves your immune system. To prepare licorice root tea, boil a cup of water. Take some licorice root and pound it. Add this to the boiling water. After this, strain out the roots and add a little honey to the water. Drink this three times a day. Mix it with tea tree oil and apply it on the infected regions. Repeat this two to three times a day. Or, you could simply use only olive oil. Oats have anti-inflammatory properties which are very helpful in easing itching. To use it for your skin, you will have to prepare an oatmeal bath. For this, make a fine powder of the oats you have. Pour one cup of this powder to your bath tub. Let your skin soak in the water for at least fifteen minutes. The longer you stay in, the more effective it is. Be careful when you’re getting out of the bath since oatmeal can be slippery. Follow this up with a body lotion. Do this twice a day. You could also add in olive oil to the bath.
