A Diabetic Diet

The preventive measures to be followed to avoid being diabetic is not applicable exclusively to those who are sure of incurring the disease through their genes. It is advisable to each one of us, for this diet helps us build up our immunity against diseases and of course being diabetic .
Diabetic patients should include lots of green leafy vegetables into their diet.try to overpower your hunger through intake of salads and soups. Intake of carbohydrates, pulses, milk, fruits, and eggs should be in small amounts.
Those of us, who want to avoid any chance of being diabetic, must keep away from – sugar, honey, jam, coke, sweets and fatty foods.
Drink lots of water. The first thing you must do after waking up in the morning is to drink 2 glasses of water .Fruit juice without sugar, vegetable soup, lemon juice with salt, buttermilk are advisable.
You may eat any one fruit a day. One guava, one apple or one banana, may be included in your diet. Avoid mangoes, jackfruits, and other fruits which are very sweet to taste.
You must include lots of fibrous food in your diet. They help in digestion and avoid constipation. Wheat is preferable over rice. Even though they have the same calorie count, we have a tendency to eat larger amount of rice than wheat.
Reduce the amount of carbohydrates, and increase the amount of pulses, vegetables and salads.Along with this diet, exercises are must. One should if not exercise, atleast walk regularly for around 30 minutes.
