Aloe Vera for Skin Care

Aloe vera is a plant that belongs to the lily family. It has got good wound healing properties and is easy to grow. It can also reduce the inflammation on different parts of the body. It is also a good remedy for dental problems, skin diseases and for diseases in digestive tract. Aloe vera will improve the oxygen availability to the skin and thus can improve the texture of the skin. It has good cleansing and moisturizing effect on the skin. Aloe vera stimulates the synthesis of elastin and collagen and there by prevents the skin aging process. It is good remedy for dry and cracked skin.

Aloe vera consists of vitamin B1, B6, B2 and vitamin C. Aloe vera juice is extracted by crushing the leaf. For making the gel the entire plant is pulverized.

Aloe vera Beauty Recipes

Take one table spoon of baking soda and mix it with some aloe vera juice or gel. If the mixture is too wet then you can add more baking soda till you get a smooth paste. Now scrub your face in circular motions with this mixture for about 2 minutes. You can apply this mixture to your entire body. Then wash off the mixture with water and this will ex-foliate your skin and repeat this for 3 times a week.

Mix equal quantities of aloe vera gel and honey in a bowl and refrigerate the mixture. Apply this mixture on your face on every day at evening and keep it on the face for 20 minutes. Then wash off with warm water at first followed by cold water. This will impart a glowing and soft skin to you.

Get 4 tablespoon aloe vera gel in a glass bowl and to this add one tablespoon vegetable glycerin. Mix them well and store in a refrigerator. Apply this mixture on your skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Then rinse with cool water. it will give a goods soothing effect to the skin.

Take a microwave safe bowl and to this add 25 gram jojoba oil, 10 gram beeswax, 10 gram cocoa butter and one tablespoon vitamin E oil. Now heat the mixture at 160 degree F. in another bowl take 50 gram aloe vera gel along with 10 gram glycerin and heat it at 160 degree F. now mix the two mixtures by pouring the oil mixture in to the gel with constant agitation. When the mixture cools below 80 degree F then adds 30 drops of essential oil and mix then well. Now you can apply this as a moisturizing cream on your skin.
