August 31, 2009
Alopecia areata is a type of hair loss pattern characterized by sudden loss of hair from a particular part of the body. This is a type of baldness that can occur on the scalp or any part of the body.
Usually most of the hairs re-grow after sometime. However, in case of severe alopecia areata, where the body loses all its hairs, chances of hair re-growth are minimal. Alopecia areata can affect both men and women. Children can also be affected by this condition.
Alopecia areata causes
The hair growth process follows a cycle, which is divided into three stages. In the first stage of hair growth, known as anagen, the hair fiber develops in the hair follicle. The gradual cessation of the active growth process of the hair occurs at the second phase, known as catagen.
Catagen is the short transition phase, which leads to the last phase of the hair growth cycle. The third and last phase of the hair growth process, known as telogen, is the resting stage. The anagen phase of hair growth is abruptly stopped in people suffering from alopecia areata. The hair growth cycle then fails to enter the categen phase, finally falling off as it enters the telagen stage in a premature state.
The exact causes of alopecia areata are unknown. It is believed to be an autoimmune disease, where the wrong signals of the body’s immune system cause the immune cells to attack the hair follicles. This disease might also be hereditary, running in families. Environmental toxins can also be responsible for this disease. Anxiety and stress might trigger hair loss from alopecia areata.
Alopecia areata symptoms
Alopecia areata appears as bald patches, about 1 to 2cm in diameter. These bald patches can occur at any part of the body, but are usually noticeable on the scalp. The bald patches might increase in both size and number. Only pigmented hairs are affected by this disease.
Alopecia areata natural remedies
Alopecia areata often reverses naturally. It may take a few months or several years for the hairs to grow on the bald patches. Physicians often prescribe corticosteroids to facilitate hair re-growth. To accelerate hair growth, you can apply alfalfa, onion or margosa leaf juices on the bald patches.

Mix the balance amount of Onion and Garlic Juice and apply on the infected area in the night. Soon you will see the Positive results (InshaAllah)
