January 13, 2009

It is very hard to give up your favorite foods. How the, does one reap the benefits of a diet without killing ourselves with the pain of foregoing staple foods we can’t let go of? Here are some simple ways to let your food lead to weight loss.  We can lose weight with change in our eating habits.

Make sure you add eggs to the breakfast. They fill very well, and cut down your food intake through the rest of the day. Make sure you use only egg whites in the way that you prepare your eggs. The yellow is the part of the egg you want to avoid.

Opt for skimmed milk as opposed to whole milk. This is one way that you won’t miss your morning coffee, and will not keep blaming yourself through the day for having committed the skin of drinking it.

Similarly, go for low fat yogurt and relish this treat with or after your meals. Not only will it not aid weight gain, but yogurt is also known to help cut back on fats. So this is one added bonus!

Use low fat products like cheese, margarine and butter. This way you will not miss out on your baked favorites or your choicest foods. This occasional indulgence will not cost you as much as having full fat variants of the same foods.

While having your tea, avoid pairing it with biscuits and cookies. Instead, chose a fruit, preferably an apple. This will help you knock off up to at least three kilos in six months without your making any other changes in your diet!

Before you have dinner, indulge in a generous portion of soup. Soups are full of water and fibre and contain virtually no fat. They also help fill the stomach well, and consequently reduce the amount you would have otherwise eaten. The benefit of soup is that although it has little fat, it is full of other nutrients that help the body a great deal.
