The result of aging is not only limited to wrinkled skin but also the decreased brain functioning and the related loss of memory. Anti-aging means living a healthy live devoid of such diseases and skin problems. You can control your age related problems with a healthy and nutritious diet together with a healthy lifestyle.

Nutrients for Anti-aging

Include foods that have good antioxidant property in your diet.  They may help you to fight with free radicals present in the body. These free radicals which cause inflammation and other chronic diseases like osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease etc. These free radicals also produce wrinkles and lines on the skin. Similarly foods that are rich in vitamin A like carrots, sweet potato, apricots, egg yolks, spinach, broccoli, collards etc can help you to reverse the aging. Vitamin D and C can also help you in repairing the tissues and makes you young. Milk and orange juice are rich in vitamin D. Citrus, tomatoes, kiwi etc are good sources of vitamin C.

Fruits and Vegetables

Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet as they have good anti-oxidant property and in order to get maximum benefit take five servings of vegetables and fruits per day.

Legumes

Include legumes in your diet at a rate of three servings per week and it provides you the nutrients essential to prevent aging.

Fish

Fish containing omega 3 fatty acids are good anti-inflammatory agents that protect you from inflammation and chronic diseases. Eat fish at east twice a week.

Whole Grains

Whole grains having antioxidant and anti-inflammatory property protects your heart and keeps you young. Include 3 servings per day.

Yogurt

Take at least one serving of yogurt per day and keeps your digestive system in good condition and there protects your skin from the toxic substances.

Nuts

Small portions of nuts in your diet benefit you in maintaining the structure of your skin. Vitamin B in nuts helps you to maintain the collagen and elastin present in the skin and thus keeps your skin in good condition.

Drink as much as water as you can and it helps you to keep your body hydrated. This also gives you a glowing skin. Along with a good diet you also need to take enough rest as your body does its repair work while you take rest. Also practice moderate exercise and avoid alcohol, tobacco etc. from your life.
