Apple Facts
Not every fruit is liked by everyone. We all have different tastes that show preferences to certain foods. However, the apple is one fruit that few really dislike. It’s taste and nature make it a clear favourite amongst most of us.
Apples are available readily today in different kinds and varieties. No longer is it really a seasonal fruit, and is in the market almost all year round. Different varieties make for a type that suits every taste. Green, red and golden apples with diferring tastes like sweet and sour make for varieties that fidna place in every home.
Apple juice is a good tonic which helps build new cells and tissues. Apples also have a constipating effect and find use in illnesses like diarrhea, dystentry and sprue, where there are loose, watery motions. Apples help tone up the intestines.
That apples cause constipation is a myth. Apples are very high in fiber and assist bowel movement. Apples are a rich source of iron. Apple wines are also made which have large use for the lean and emaciated. When cut, apples can also be preserved through refrigeration. They help in curing fevers and weaknesses. Apples are a good source of energy for those who have a sluggish appetite.
Make good use of the apple, and you will see that an apple a day can really keep the doctor away.
