Beauty Masks Using Pumpkin

Pumpkin is normally used for food but it has several properties that can be used for making beauty recipes. Pumpkin can moisturize your skin and can turn the skin in to soft and smooth.

Pumpkin contains vitamin A which serves as a mild cleanser and helps to make the skin soft. Vitamin C present in pumpkin is an antioxidant that maintains the skin health while zinc presents in pumpkin sooth the irritated skin.

Pumpkin also contains alpha-hydroxy acids which will remove the impurities from the skin and at the same time will ex-foliate and also revitalize the skin. Some of the above mentioned recipes are.

Pumpkin Facial Mask

Take three tablespoon pumpkin and mash it. You can take cooked or canned pumpkin. To this add half teaspoon honey and quarter teaspoon milk. Milk will be ideal for those who have normal or oily skin. If you have dry skin, then add butter milk instead of the milk. You can also add quarter teaspoon jojoba oil to this mixture and mix all the ingredients well to get a smooth mixture. Clean your face and spread this mixture over your face and neck. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash off with warm water.

Pumpkin Papaya Mask

Take a ripe papaya and scoop out the flesh and mash it. Take 2/3rd of a cup mashed papaya. Now beat one egg till it becomes frothy and then mix it with the mashed papaya. To this mixture add 15 ounce can pumpkin and blend the entire mixture in a blender to make a fine paste. Then clean your face and apply this paste evenly on your neck and face. Keep it on your face for 10 minutes and wash off with water.

Pumpkin Juice and Flour Mask

Peel and grate a piece of pumpkin and get the juice from it. Now mix the juice with some flour until you get a thick a paste. Spread the paste on the face and keep it for 20 minutes. This will lighten your skin along with making it soft.

Pumpkin Seed Mask

Collect the pumpkin seeds and peel the raw seeds. Grind the peeled seeds with some water and you will get pumpkin seed milk. Take two teaspoon pumpkin seed milk and mix with one teaspoon honey. Apply this mixture on your face daily for about 30 minutes and then wash off.
