Before Choosing A Parlor

March 27, 2009

You visit a beauty parlor to enhance your beauty. But, do you even take time to see through the minute details of the parlor, its products and the beautician? We have a habit of closing our eyes while the beautician is at work, but be careful, instead of augmenting your beauty, it may destroy the same.

So next time before you select a parlor, look into the following details:

Qualification of the beautician

Check whether, she has actually done a course in styling and make up. Find out if the institute which has given her the diploma/degree is reliable. Find out how many years experience she has or how friendly she is with customers. Check, if she can give you the right suggestions for skin care.

While doing a facial

Make sure that the crams used for facial are branded names. Do ask them which cream are they using for face massaging. Check if it is being used within the expiry period. Find out more about the ingredients used in the facial, and what their uses are.

Make sure if the instruments used for removing the white heads and black heads are sterilized. Strictly prohibit them from using the cream used for other customers on your face. Ask them to take out the required amount of cream in a clean bowl, rather than putting their fingers into the jar again and again.

While getting a hair cut

After selecting your style, run your eyes through the combs, clips, scissors, brushes and other accessories going to be used. Ask them, and make sure that those accessories have been cleaned using a disinfectant.

Before getting waxed

Nowadays disposable strips are being used for waxing, incase they are using cotton cloth pieces, confirm it from them, whether they have been cleaned, and dried in the sun. Don’t allow them to apply powder on your hands and legs using their puff; ask them to use fresh cotton instead.

Pedicure, manicure

Check if the instruments  used are sterilized.

Thanks for your correction of the spelling of ’sore’. I wonder how I got it wrong. But the spelling of anemia is absolutely correct, thats the US way of spelling it.
