Benefits of Green Tea

Green Tea is well-established, as a potent source of healing antioxidants called polyphenols,  a beneficial compound found in fruits , vegetables and even in red wine. The leaf also possesses a celebrity antioxidant called epigallocatechin-gallate.It also includes other prominent healing substances including fluoride, catechins, and tannins.

Green tea (Camellia sinensis) has been the centre of exciting new studies. It shows its efficiency in elevating metabolism for weight loss, for averting and fighting cancer and other ailments with its super antioxidants. It has a long list of potential health benefits and is used to regulate blood sugar and blood pressure, boost the immune system, prevent ulcers, control inflammation, viral colds and flu, prevents gum disease, cavities, and bad breath. It also been indicated for reducing cholesterol, thwarting heart disease, osteoporosis and blood clots.

Scientific analysis has revealed that green tea, includes noteworthy amounts of water-soluble vitamins and minerals, particularly zinc, manganese, potassium, niacin, folic acid and vitamin C. One cup of green tea has more vitamin C than an orange. Researchers attributed, that green tea has 100 times the antioxidant strength of vitamin C, and 25 times that of vitamin E. Studies also suggest that the antioxidant capacity of green tea is better than twenty-two varieties of fruits and vegetables.

It assists in treatment of high cholesterol, high triglycerides, hypertension, and arouses immune functions. Green Tea may in fact lower the perils for arteriosclerosis. Research has publicized that it safeguards against cardiovascular ailments by reducing cholesterol levels, improving the ratio of LDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol. It  also  reduces platelet aggregation and lowers blood pressure.

It was found that green tea extracts, appreciably augmented energy outflow and fat oxidation. The researchers are of opinion that this study had superb connotations for weight control. The study specifies, an almost 40% increase in daytime thermogenesis.  In other words, individuals would burn up 40% more fat during the day with Green Tea Extract.

So, shift to green tea, for a healthy future.
