Oregano is one of the best sources of vitamin K. It is also rich in manganese, iron, calcium and vitamins A and C. This herb also contains omega-3 fatty acids and dietary fiber.

Oregano oil is often used as remedy for bacterial infections. This herb contains powerful anti-bacterial plant compounds such as thymol and carvacrol.
