In order to lose fat, perhaps no technique works better than exercising. However, certain herbs are found to help escalate the weight loss process. Certain herbs burn the excess fat in the body by accelerating the metabolism of the body.
Green Tea
In traditional Chinese medicine, green tea is considered a safe fat burning herb. According to a study, compared to people who did not drink green tea, people who drank five cups of green tea every day lost five percent more fat.
Indian Bedellium
Indian Bedellium, popularly known as Guggul in the Indian subcontinent, is a popular fat burner used in traditional Indian medicines. This herb helps to stimulate production of triiodothyroxine or T3, a thyoxine metabolite. T3 increases the activity of the thyroid gland, which consequently increases the metabolism of the body. Indian Bedellium also helps the liver to rapidly burn the excess fat. According to a study, people who consumed this herb could reduce nearly 1.92 kg weight within a fortnight.
Bitter Orange
Bitter orange, also known as citrus aurantium, can be taken to burn the excess body fat. Unlike most fat burning herbs, bitter orange does to increase rate of heartbeat, therefore making it safe for consumption by people suffering from hypertension.
Dandelion
Although considered as weed, dandelion burns fat by rapidly breaking down carbohydrates. It also helps to normalize blood sugar level, which prevents hunger. Drinking three cups of dandelion tea each day can help reduce weight.
Ginger
This common culinary ingredient also helps in burning excess body fat. If you drink three cups of ginger tea everyday, you can gradually lose weight. Including a tablespoon of freshly ground or grated ginger to your soups or stews can help to keep you slim.
Pepper
Hot spices or herbs, such as cayenne pepper, can act as a fat burner by raising the metabolism of the body.
Malabar Tamarind
This small fruit, also known as Garcina Cambogia contains hydroxycitric acid, which helps to melt fat.
