Anxiety is considered to be the main cause of hysteria. Sometimes the way in which the parents deal with their kid’s emotional problems makes them to react in an extreme manner to the situations in their future life.

Sexual repressions may also leads to hysteria and similarly mental, sexual and physical abuse may also ends up in hysteria. If you are scolding your child for simple reasons then it makes them introverts and finally they may be at the risk of having hysteria.

Family history of hysteria, nervousness, mental strain etc may also leads to hysteria. Excessive idleness, depression, prolonged sickness, brain tumor, worry etc are all reasons for hysteria.

There are no common symptoms for hysteria. Different people react differently. Loss of consciousness, violent outburst and yelling are some of the symptoms commonly seen in such people. Most probably they may have less stability towards emotions and may have no will power.

Swelling ine the neck, suffocation, heaviness in the limbs etc are also seen. Sometimes the person seems to be out of contact with the surroundings. Extreme salivation, redness in the eyes, clenching of teeth are also seen.
