There are some people, however, who suffer headaches regularly. The frequency and severity of headaches in these cases is intense. While the most convenient way to stay ahead of a headache is to pop a pill, some thought is important before you reach out to your medicine cabinet.

All headaches cannot find the same cure, since headaches are caused due to various reasons. Each time, it is important to assess the nature and reasons for the headache and treat it accordingly.

The most common concern that comes to mind when someone suffers from frequent headaches is whether the eyesight is suffering. The inability to see properly causes a strain on the eyes and the head. This must be attended to immediately. Headaches are also caused by focusing for long hours on the computer, or by watching television from a very close distance.

Prolonged stress can also cause headaches. Therapy in the form of relaxation, exercise and meditation can prove effective in providing relief from these headaches.

Problems in the sinus are also contributors to headaches. The head feels exceptionally heavy. In these cases, try having three pinches of black pepper powder with a little honey. Make a viscous mixture and consume slowly for beneficial results.

Women may have trouble with headaches that are related to menstrual cycles. Some women have bouts of headaches before the beginning of their cycle, and find the headache clearing out on the onset of their period. Others have prolonged headaches for as long as they bleed. Treatments vary depending on the problem faced.
