Due to the rich quantity of calcium found in cheese, it is considered as one of the most appropriate foods for retaining strong bones and teeth. Inclusion of cheese in daily meals assists in preventing deficiency of vitamin B, which is essential for formation and spiraling of bones.

An increased intake of cheese by children leads to a better absorption of calcium content from semi digested foods for better bone building. It is advisable for persons experiencing osteoporosis to consume fresh cheese at least six times during a week to increase the bone density as it contains high quantity of protein, calcium, phosphorus, zinc as well as vitamins which are essential for early treatment of osteoporosis.

Benefits for Metabolism

Regular consumption of cheese is widely acknowledged as one of the best foods to enhance metabolism. Cheese contains ample quantities of fats, calcium, vitamins, minerals and proteins that fulfill most of the daily nutritional requirements of body.

Though, consumption of cheese is considered as good for metabolism, persons suffering from liver or kidney ailments should avoid consumption of cheese at all costs.

Due to the total unavailability of lactose in cheese an individual suffering from lactose intolerance should consume cheese in major meals. According to doctors, patients of lactose intolerance should eat cheese daily to prevent deficiencies of vitamins, calcium and added minerals.

Due to high levels of fatty acids and proteins present in cheese, it is used for building strong muscles by persons indulged in intense athletic activities. Protein and fatty acids are widely acknowledged as most essential components for maintaining and building muscles.

Good for Diabetics

Certain varieties of cheese prepared with low fat milk are considered as a good source of nutrition for diabetes patients due to the negligible amount of glucose present in them. It is advisable for diabetics to consult an accredited medical practitioner prior to including cheese in daily diet plan.

It is often recommended by medical professionals for people with known medical history of hypertension to avoid consumption of all varieties of cheese to avert raise in blood pressure.
