Cleaner Skin

October 17, 2008

Not only are vitamins essential in keeping the body functioning better, and in bringing good health, but also a vital ingredient for the skin. Thiamine, folate, biotin, niacin and choline are important forms of Vitamin b, which are essential for the skin. They foster cell growth and assist in healing wounds on the skin.

Circulation is heightened, and bruises and infections are kept at bay. Sunburn is also prevented with the proper balance of vitamin B in the skin. Vitamin B is best found in fruits like papaya and must be added to the diet to keep the skin young and protected from the sun. Tablets that provide supplements are also available easily and can be consumed to restore severe deficiencies.

Water is an irreplaceable resource in the body, especially since our body is made up of the maximum amount of water. It cools, stimulates the metabolism and supports every process that is undertaken by the body and skin. It helps flush out toxins and cleans out waste from the skin easily. It hydrates the skin and helps reverse ageing. It clears acne and pimple formation and keeps the skin more supple. Fibres not only form an important ingredient for the body, but also help in keeping the skin clear, clean and healthy. Plenty of water and fluids must be taken daily. During the summer, drink not only more water but also other fluids like coconut water that can help add mineral content too. The intake of fresh fruits and vegetables is imperative in ensuring good health of the skin. The more we consume raw vegetables and fruits, the more fibre we give our body, and hence the skin too. Opt for fresh fruits rather than juices since fibre is lost in the juice.

The most easily available products are often the most valuable. We all tend to believe that the best things are out of reach and fail to see what is right in front of our eyes. The basics are most often the best remedy.
