Coconut Water

Coconut water is obtained from the coconut nut . Coconut palm is botanically called as cocos nucifera. A coconut palm on an average produces 60 nuts.  If the nut is broke open you will get slight almond flavored coconut water. This coconut water is to be consumed fresh and if exposed to air it may soon lose many of its nutrients and organoleptic. It may also start to ferment. Coconut water is an isotonic beverage and is found to have the same degree of electrolytic balance as that of blood.Coconut water is considered as an energy drink that has natural salts, sugar and vitamins which is enough to get rid of the fatigue. Per hundred ml of coconut water contains 294 mg potassium, 25 mg sodium, 118 mg chloride and 5 mg natural sugars.

Coconut Water being an isotonic solution will help you to regain the minerals and fluids that your body lost in the process of physical activities. If you have any dehydration problem then pure coconut water will hydrate your body and act as an energy drink for you.

Coconut water if mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil will help you to ward off the worms in intestine and provide you with good digestion. You need to take this mixture for three consecutive days.

Antibacterial

Coconut water consisting of monolaurin is an antibacterial, anti protozoan and antiviral mono glyceride. This may help you to kill the lipid coated viruses like herpes, HIV, flu, cytomegalovirus, pathogenic bacteria etc.

In Blood Transfusion

As coconut water has properties identical to blood plasma it can be used for blood transfusion. In case of emergencies coconut water be used as intravenous hydration fluent. .

For people who are trying to reduce their weight, coconut water is found to be ideal as it will increase the metabolic rate and thus helps in losing weight. More than that coconut water will provide you with all the necessary nutrients while it is 99 percent fat free. It is also low in carbohydrate and sugars.
