Common Eye Problems and Their Cure

June 9, 2009

Eyes are the mirror of personality and they have the potential to dim the beauty of a pretty face. Problem free eyes are necessary to enhance the beauty of the face. Most prominent eye problems commonly faced by women are puffy eyes, dark circles around the eyes and crow’s feet. Crow’s feet are the tiny lines or wrinkles appearing at the corner of the eyes. It can only be reduced by cosmetic surgery. So in this case, prevention is better than cure.

Sometimes, a person gets puffy eyes and dark circles due to lack of sleep or by crying a lot. There are ways which can help you to get rid of the eye problem at a faster pace.

Puffy Eyes –

• Use icy chilled water and two steel spoons to reduce the puffiness of eyes. Put the spoons in the chilled water and then place over eyes. Continue the same exercise for fifteen minutes.

• Cover each eye with chilled green tea bag. Herbal properties of the green tea help in restoring the eyes back to their normal size.

• Put cucumber slices on eyes. Its anti-inflammatory properties help in reducing the puffiness and reddishness in the eyes.

Dark Circles around the Eyes –

• Try to catch at least 8 to 10 hours sleep in a day to reduce the dark circles.

• Drink at least 10 glasses of water in a day.

• Put fresh figs on both eyes.

• Grate a cucumber and apply its juice under the eyes or put slices of cucumber on eyes.

• Mix grated raw potato with almond paste and apply daily under the eyes to reduce dark circles.

Crow’s feet

• Use sunglasses when stepping out in sun.

• Remember to apply sunscreen always to reduce the impact of ultraviolet rays on the skin.

• Use Retin-A cream daily to exfoliate the skin.
