Curative Camphor


Imagine a smell so refreshing that your cavities open up to welcome it completely. A taste so enchanting that the buds tingle in response. And properties so potent that cures are almost instant. It might sound like a miracle. This one’s called camphor.

Camphor is sweet, bitter and pungent. It is cold, a good post-digestive with pungent action, and strengthens the air, water and fire elements. It is aromatic, diaphoretic and brings perspiration. It is used in ointments and tooth powders for its germicidal property. Throat lozenges and cough syrups also contain camphor.

Some forms of camphor can also be used in cooking. Some sweets can be made with a little camphor added for taste. Not only is a distict, refreshing flavour imparted, but the properties of camphor also enter the body directly.
