Cures for Ringworm


Ringworm can occur anytime, anywhere. Curing ringworm can be difficult and cause unwarranted irritation. They are not very pleasant to look at, cause a whole lot of irritation to the body and skin, and are difficult to get rid of completely.

Ringworm can be contracted quite easily. Different medicated creams can help relieve the itching, but re often ineffective in curing ringworm entirely. Simple home remedies like the ones suggested below should help you care for ringworm easily.

Rub the slices of papaya onto the ringworm patches. The seeds of the papaya can also prove useful. Make a paste from the dried seeds and apply it on the patches to benefit.

Make a paste of mustard seeds and apply on the patches after you have washed the area thoroughly with warm water.

The juice of basil is also useful in curing ringworm. Extract the juice of basil from the leaves and apply externally on the affected area to cure ringworm quickly.

Take some raw turmeric and extract the juice from it. This is an external application to the skin that is affected. Take one teaspoon of turmeric juice with equal portions of honey and consume internally simultaneously till you have been completely cured.

Juices from all raw vegetables have also been found to be extremely useful. Carrot juice is specially suited, when mixed with the juice of spinach.

The main caution to be exercised when dealing with ringworms is that along with any form of treatment, cleanliness and hygiene is of paramount importance. Take care to ensure that the area is not exposed to any sweat, dirt or dirty cloth. Keep it dry and cleaned at all times. Avoid the use of very hot water or harsh soaps to the area. Ringworms can be cures easily with some remedial action.
