Cures Using Bishop’s Weed

Different forms of medicine that originate in different partsof the world use herbs and spices in varied ways to produce cures for ailments. What remains common among them all is the inherent power each of these herbs has and the good they do to our lives. Proper use of these herbs in any form can bring radical changes to the lives we lead.

Bishop’s weed is bitter, pungent and hot in nature. It acts as a good appetizer. Having the ability to subside the air element, it finds useful place in the treatment of cough, cold, colic and vomiting sensations, and also cures worms and urticaria.

Being bitter, it subsides pain, and aggravation of air and is a good digestive.

Bsihop’s weed is a very useful home remedy for flatulence, dyspepsia, diarrhoea, and hysteria in the case of women. Distilled water has also been used to cure phlegm. It is an ancient custom in many cultures to give ladies who have just delivered bishop’s weed for a few days so any residue in the uterus is expelled and the air element is subsided. Care is taken to see that any foods that produce gas are not given, and the abdomen is tied tightly. Medicines like bishop’s weed, given with fennel and liquorice increase the flow of breast milk and purify the uterus.

Here is a useful recipe using bishop’s weed. Take the essence of basil, commonly called Thymol. Take the essence of perppermint, and camphor, all in equal proportions, and store in a bottle with some bishop’s weed. In a short while, you will notice that the mixture will liquify. Add a little tincture of cardamom to finally ready the mixture. This can be used in almost all ailments. In abdominal colic, nausea, vomiting, or any stomach related problem, you can take five drops in a cup of water and drink this three to four times a day and you will see immediate improvement. Cotton soaked in this mixture can relieve pain when used in the dental cavity. It is an antidote to mosquito and scorpion bites. It can help relieve nasal congestions. Gargling this mixture can also help with sore throats.

With its many uses, bishop’s weed is a cure for any ill. It is best kept at home as it makes a handy recsue at all times.
