Destroying Dandruff
Dandruff is one of the most common hair problems that we face. It persists and is very difficult to get rid of completely. Dandruff can also lead to many skin problems like acne and pimples.
Dandruff is commonly caused by infrequent washing. excessive dryness of the hair, climatic changes and lack of adequate oil – both externally and internal.
Oil the hair well and regularly. This will help reduce the dandruff, and also keep the hair follicles well stimulated.
Washing the hair is vital. Regular washing is very important for the hair. The more dust and dirt it accumualates, the larger the tendency of getting dandruff and more difficult it is to rid the hair from it.
Fenugreek seeds soeaked in curd make a good cure. Apply liberally over the scalp and leave for about half an hour before washing out. Use this every two to three days to cure the hair of dandruff completely.
Poppy seeds and pepper should be mixed in milk before applying to the roots of the hair. This is another effective cure for dandruff.
Take some neem flowers and grind them before applying in the hair. This helps reduce dandruff.
Lemon juice is very good for the hair and should be used for accute dandruff. Either rub the lemon gently into the hair follicles, or use the juice diluted with water and rinse the hair out with it. The lemon will rid the hair of dandruff quickly.
Hibiscus makes a good remedy for dandruff. Grind hibiscus flowers and apply in the hair about half an hour before washing. This makes a good cleanser for the hair and cures dandruff as well.
Aloe vera also majes a good cure for dandruff. Apply fresh aloe gel in the hair and leave on for a few hours before washing out gently.
