Dietary Guidelines To Control Nocturnal Enuresis

The Nocturnal enuresis is referred to a situation in which a person regardless of age group without knowledge passes urine while sleeping. Nocturnal enuresis is a very common condition in young children.

The major symptoms of Nocturnal enuresis comprises of accidental bedwetting during night after age of six years. It may be caused by a number of causes that includes underdeveloped nervous system, immature development of bladder, soaring levels of glucose, deficiency of anti-diuretic hormones and impaired urination system.

By following the given below simple tried and tested remedies, it is possible for any parent to achieve miraculous results with in 8-10 days.

Cranberry Juice – The consumption of fresh cranberry juice at least 1 hour prior to night sleep endows child with reduced incidences of bedwetting. It is advisable to take seven to eight oz of juice daily for eight days to gain desired results.

Cornsilk – The herb cornsilk is widely acknowledged properties to cure ailments of urinary tract naturally. Regular consumption of this herb thrice a day helps in eliminating excessive water retention in body and provides immediate relief from painful urination.

Nuts & Raisins – It is advisable to consume 2 tsp of walnut halves with 1 tbsp of raisins just prior to going for sleep to endow bladder with extra strength to control urination.

Herbal Tea – Herbal teas prepared with valuable herbs like bearberry, horsetail etc are used since old ages to treat inflammation of urinary tract, which further leads to better control over urination. Herbal teas should be consumed several times a day for at least 10 days to prop up the detoxification of body and functioning of organs.

Avoid – A person or child suffering from problem of Nocturnal enuresis should at all costs avoid intake of fluids before going for sleep. There ought to be a gap of two hours between last intake of beverages or drinks before going for a sleep. It is advisable to empty the bladder by urinating prior to sleep. Consumption of unhealthy and preserved foods should also be confined to minimum for optimum results. Intake of known irritants should also be avoided.
