Diets to increase the Fertility of a Woman

Infertility is the inability to conceive and deliver a baby. Infertility is a major problem being faced by today’s women. The modern lifestyle and eating habits has a lot to add to infertility. To become a mother a woman must be healthy and energetic. This is because only a healthy body can support healthy baby inside her womb. More than that certain food habits may prevent you from getting pregnant while certain other foods may help you to conceive.

Food to be Avoided

Alcohol

Alcohol is found to reduce your chances of getting pregnant. Alcohol in turn may affect your health too. In order to have a successful pregnancy you need to avoid your habit of taking alcohol at least three months prior to conceive.

Caffeine

Caffeine is also found to produce the same effect as that of alcohol and it will be better to avoid caffeine containing foods like black teas, chocolate, coffee, colas etc from your diet three months prior to trying to conceive.

Similarly you need to avoid your smoking habit as tobacco is not good for your health and so for your baby.

Food to Eat

Non Refined Carbohydrates

Avoid refined carbohydrates from your diet and instead add non refined carbohydrates. This is because the refining process tends to remove the nutrients necessary for keeping you fertile from your diet. While refining vitamin B, iron, antioxidants etc are getting removed and they plays a major role in enhancing fertility. So instead of white rice, white pasta, bread you need to take whole wheat pasta, bread and cereal.

Fruits and Vegetables

Include foods that contain lot of antioxidants and vitamin C and it includes fresh vegetables and fruits. Especially the colored fruits and vegetables contain more antioxidants than other. Green colored spinach, watercress, broccoli, herbs, olive, lime mangoes, sprouts and red colored apple, capsicum, carrot, grapes, beet root, tomatoes, yellow colored banana, melon, lemon, turmeric, saffron etc are ideal for improving the chances of fertility. Vitamin C and antioxidants may help your reproductive system.

Cottage Cheese and curd are also found to be ideal for improving the fertility. Also include seeds, grains and nuts in your daily diet. Try to include at least 70 percent of your diet with raw and natural foods in order to get maximum nutrients which make you healthy and fit for conceiving.
