Easing Out Backpain

November 14, 2008

Most people suffer from pains in the back today. Caused by own increased pace of life, backaches are common occurences from overworking the muscles by sitting too long in awkward postures, incorrect walking and too much strain. The most ready solution would be to pop a pill and carry on with work as usual, but the impact in the long run is far reaching.

The best way to keep backaches away is by a little caution. While sitting, make sure the posture is right. Use ergonomic chairs that are designed specially to accomodate long hours of being in the same position. While working around the house, make sure you shift while standing for too long. Excess pressure on the back by standing in the same position is equally harmful. Choose comfortable bedding. Make sure you understand the type of mattress the back is most comfortable with. Some people are intolerant to soft mattresses, while the harder varieties suit others. Be careful while you select yours.

To get rid of a backache using some natural remedies, try what you think you find best.

Take some dry ginger, a little black pepper and the powder of about five cloves. Apply these to the areas that you find worst affected. Massage well and leave in for half an hour while giving the back complete rest.

Eucalyptus oil helps cure backaches well. Massage the oil into the back and leave it in.

Make a mixture of equal portions of mustard and castor oil. Warm and apply to the back and massage very well. This oil helps relax the muscles and eases backaches almost instantly.

The only remedy to backaches are rest. Any of the remedies mentioned, or even others you might come across will bear fruit only if you have relxed the back. This is the opportunity to make the most of your idle time. The excuse can’t be better.
