Effects of Insulin Resistance

Type II Diabetes – Researches had indicated that there are more possibilities for an individual to develop type II diabetes if the natural production of insulin in body decreases. Reduced availability of insulin in body leads to confined burning of glucose which triggers excess storage of glucose over tissues.
Hypoglycemia – Development of hypoglycemia is one of the earliest symptoms of insulin resistance. The condition of hypoglycemia usually occurs when an individual avoids consumption of foods unremittingly for 4-5 hours.
The most common symptoms associated with hypoglycemia are fatigue, decreased psychological awareness and strong desire for eating. in bodies of persons experiencing insulin resistance, the production of insulin often overshoots and as a result the sugar levels of body drops rapidly causing shaking in body.
Cardiac Diseases – When the sugar levels in human body reaches the extreme level than it can handle, the liver starts convert excess sugar to fat globules, which pass via blood flow to fat deposits in type of triglyceride.
Though, triglyceride does not harm arteries unswervingly but soaring concentrations assists in reducing blood levels of good cholesterol, which further elevates the possibility of blood vessel ailments or development of severe arteriosclerosis which is usually the prime reason for heart attack.
Menstrual Problems – In females, the insulin resistance leads to development of polycystic ovary syndrome, which is the main reason for uneven periods, ovarian cysts, atypical hair growth, and skin ailments.
Sleeping Problems – The most common disease associated with the insulin resistance is difficulty in sleeping. Owing to the reduced capability of glucose burning in body, the fat starts to accumulate in stomach and neck which causes breathlessness at night leading to sleep apnea.
It is recommended for persons suffering from problem of insulin resistance to confine the intake of starchy foods and sugar rich foods to avoid weight gain which triggers insulin resistance in body. To get rid of insulin resistance an individual should perform exercises on daily basis to pace up the burning of sugar in body.
A person experiencing insulin resistance should consult an accredited dietician or medical practitioner prior to scheduling a diet plan as the nutritional requirements of body varies from person to person.
