Facial Toner for Mature and Aging Skin

Facial Toner for Mature and Aging Skin

Toning is a process of cleaning the skin while at the same time reduces the skin’s pore size. A good toner will remove the excess oil, dirt, dead skin cells and other residues on the skin. Hence toning can protect you from getting pimples or blemishes. It also reduces the formation of fine aging lines and increases the circulation of blood.

It also maintains the pH balance. If your toner is rich in minerals and vitamins then it imparts more strength to your skin. Nutrient rich toner also gives extra anti-oxidants which play an important role in getting rid of free radicals formed on the skin. Thus it helps to prevent aging. It improves the toxin elimination and leaves your skin clean and fresh.

Tips to Make Facial Toner

Take half cup of water in a small saucepan and keep it over a medium flame for about a minute. Then slowly add one teaspoon honey and stir well. Then remove the saucepan from the flame and when it reaches the room temperature add one tablespoon witch hazel lotion and one tablespoon apple cider vinegar to the water and honey mixture. Mix the ingredients well and add two drops of tea tree oil and two drops of juniper oil. Stir the entire ingredients well. Transfer the whole content in to a glass jar and store it in refrigerator.

How to Apply a Toner

Wash your face with some warm water and also your hands. You need to apply toner on a neat and clean skin. Take a little toner in your hands and spread the toner on your face with circular motions and never rub it on your face. Take care to cover the entire face like chin, cheek, forehead, nose etc. Or you can take some toner in a cotton pad and wipe your face gently with this cotton pad. Never apply toner around your eye area. After toning if you feel more dryness and tightness on your face then apply some moisturizer on the skin.
