Fighting Hair Loss and Balding


Suffering hair loss and balding is not a problem confined to either the ageing, or to males alone. This is a problem that is affecting everyone alike. With growing attention to the turn out and looks today, this can be a serious problem for even aspects like self esteem and confidence.

The main causes for these problems include lack of care, improper and infrequent washing, hormonal dysfunction or malfunctioning of the glands, pregnancy and childbirth, health ailments, exposure to X rays, chemicals from dyeing and treatments, stress, using dryers and rollers overly, tying hair tightly in a bun, and even hereditary factors.

Baldness can occur in three stages; the elderly, which can somewhat be expected and dealt with easily, in mid life, and now increasingly, in younger people. he main symptom to balding is the sudden loss of large amounts of hair, and the appearance of bald circles and patches on the scalp.

Hot oil conditioning is the best form of treatment. Warm a little herbal oil and massage well into the hair until it is soaked well. Use a hot towel fomentation over the scalp overnight.

Dry ice on the scalp is very good since it gives an alternating hot and cold sensation.

Mango can also be a good cure. Soak mango in oil for a few months and preserve. Using this oil on the hair can give beneficial results.

Massaging the hair and using friction to stimulate the follicles and pores can help restore hair growth, and also prevent further hair fall.

Healthier habits like staying away from smoking and excessive alchohol can also be beneficial in keping the hair in better shape. Spend some time in recreational activities and choose some form of meditation and exercise to keep the body and mind calm. They can help keep stress and other related disorders away, and improve the quality of hair as well.
