For Oral Health


Despite modern toothbrushes, toothpastes and mouthwashes, tooth decay and gum disease is still a major problem for each one of us. Correct brushing has a major role to play in the health of teeth and gums. Often our relaxed lifestyle tends to invite poor health of the same. However, we must remember that our tooth and gums can be easily kept healthy, only if we are little careful about it.

Make sure you regularly intake fresh unprocessed foods. Fresh fruits and vegetables contain essential nutrients to keep up the oral health.

Always stick to alcohol free mouthwash. They have certain side-effects.   Plenty of herbal mouthwashes are available in the market. They are comparatively better. However, it’s best if you could take out some time to boil some mango leaves in water; allow it to cool, and use the same to rinse your mouth.

Avoid as far as possible, alcohols, and cigarettes. They tend to leave permanent stains on your teeth.  Sugar free chewing gum, Vitamin C tablets can be helpful in reducing these stains.

Take in lots of green tea. It contains Flavonoids, which helps in keeping away bacteria causing tooth decay.

Avoid sweets as far as possible. They have an adverse effect on the teeth .if you have a sweet tooth; do rinse your mouth thoroughly after every time you eat a sweet.

Worn out toothbrushes are incapable of proper cleaning action. Thus, it is compulsory to change your toothbrush twice in every 3 weeks.

Multi vitamin tablets, help in providing immunity from dental decay. Zinc and selenium are essential for oral health.

It is beneficial to intake fluoride tablets; it promotes the health of the teeth in children. But, it is advisable to take under the supervision of the doctor.

Dental check up once in six months is preferable to ensure your dental health.
