Goodness of Pineapple

Pineapple’s birthplace is Brazil. Other than India, it is cultivated in Malay, Hawaii and South Africa in huge numbers.

60% of pineapple is palatable. It holds 87.8% water. It contains lots of fiber in it. Its fibers help to stay away from cancerous growths in our body. It abounds in nutrients and minerals.

The root and fruit are either eaten or applied externally as an anti-inflammatory and as a proteolytic agent. It is used conventionally as an antihelminthic agent in the Philippines.

Pineapple contains a proteolytic enzyme bromelain, which splits down protein. The bromelain splits down in the canning process, thus it can be used with gelatin. These enzymes can be perilous to someone suffering from certain protein deficiencies. Pineapple has many nutritional value , it is a good source of manganese, as well as containing significant amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin B1
