Gout
Gout is a condition in which the there will be excessive uric acid deposition in the body. This is actually a type of arthritis. In certain conditions body will produce excessive uric acid and it can be due to the bad diet habits. Sometimes the defective kidneys find it difficult to excrete the uric acid produced in the body. Such conditions leads to the formation of crystallized uric acid deposits in feet, knees, elbows, hands, wrist, finger joints, below the skin and at times in urinary tract and kidneys too.
Symptoms of gout appears mostly at nights. Sometimes there may be rapid shooting pain in toes or in the affected areas. The affected areas become swollen, tender, warm with reddish coloration. Inflammation due to uric acid crystals can at times leads to bursitis. You have to treat gout immediately otherwise it may results in joint deformities.
Remedies for Gout
Lemon
Add the fresh juice taken from half of a lemon to a glass of water. Take this drink daily thrice. The vitamin C present in lemon juice helps to dissolve the uric acid deposits.
Mustard and Whole Wheat
Take some mustard seeds and grind it to make a powder. Then mix equal quantities of mustard powder and whole wheat powder along with some water to get a paste. Spread this paste over the affected area.
Cherry
Sour or sweet cherries can be used for treating gout. During the initial days of the treatment the patient has to take twenty five cherries per day. As the disease comes under control, then the affected person can reduce the number of cherries to ten per day. Even though fresh cherries are considered as the best, you can also choose canned ones at times.
French Beans
Juice taken from French beans are found to be an effective remedy for treating gout. You need to take 150 ml of French bean juice daily to get rid of this disease.
Epsom Salt Bath
Add 500 grams of Epsom salt in warm water and soak yourself in that water. You can take three such baths weekly and then reduce it to twice a week.
Increase your consumption of fruits that are rich in vitamin C like tomatoes, citrus fruits, berries, green leafy vegetables, green pepper etc to get rid of gout.
