Grapefruit Diet

Grape fruit diet is a good diet for controlling the cholesterol levels. Hence it is good for  heart. Grape fruits diet helps to burn fats. The beta carotene required for removing the bad cholesterol are present in this diet. . This is a 12 day diet program that does not eliminate anything from your diet still helps you to burn more cholesterol. While sticking to grape fruit diet you need to drink 8 glasses or two liters of water daily. You can eat up to a level that gives you satisfaction. But you are not allowed to skip or reduce the quantity of grape fruit or grape juice for including something else. You have to cut down your coffee intake for grapefruit diet. You should avoid certain things while in grapefruit diet and they are potato, mayonnaise, white vegetables, potato chips, cucumbers, white onion, hot dogs, any cheese, pickles, bread etc. You can take foods fried in butter.

Grapefruit Diet Plan

Breakfast

You have to take either one glass of grape juice or half a grape fruit for your breakfast. You can also take two slices of bacon and two eggs too.

Lunch

Take  half a grapefruit or one glass of unsweetened grape juice along with salad and meat. You can eat as much as you want. Meat can be prepared in any style.

Dinner

Consume one glass grape juice or half a grapefruit. Take buttery green or red spicy vegetables and salad along with fish or meat cooked in any style. A cup of tea or coffee is also permitted. Salad can be chicken, avocado, prawn, spinach, red onion, cabbage, etc. You can use fat free or low fat salad dressings.

Snack

It can be a glass of tomato juice or skimmed milk.

Grape fruit remain as a catalyst that begins the burning process. Bacon and salads along with grape fruit act as a combination of foods that helps in burning fat. If you can repeat this 12 day grapefruit diet at two days interval for two and a half months then it will give you the best results.
