Great Makeover Tips

January 13, 2009

No one wants to look anything but their best. All efforts at getting dresses are directed towards making an impact with the way we are turned out. Sometimes, it may not work to imitate latest styles. You need to make your own guidelines to applying make up in a manner that works best for you.

Here are some effective ways that you can enhance the appeal of your features and can increase your beauty. These are great tips to help accentuate and glamourise even normal, less than perfect features.

Several coats of mascara can help thicken and make the lashes look longer and fuller. They also give a more stark, bold appearance and help the eyes stand out better.

Try using a little silver on the brow bone. This will heighten the shape of your eyebrows and give mroe definition to the eye make up you are applying.

Some kohl on the lower lid gives a smoky, sultry look to eyes. This is an excellent form of make up that can be worn in isolation through the day to help give the eyes a boost without them looking made up. Try using a little extra along the rims of the eyes to give it fuller shape.

While using foundation, select a shade that matches your skin the closest. Apply foundation on the face and neck and blend it evenly, or it can look very patchy and messy.

The nose can be made to look sharper and more prominent by applying an extra coat of foundation to the bridge, and using a darker shade along the sides.

It is always preferable to use a little concealer under the eyes. You don’t necessarily need to have dark circles. Concealer can help lift the eyes better, and also give the skin more even tone.

A coat of balm or chapstick before the application of any lipstick is a must. This helps bring the colour out best, and also ensures that it stays better, applying evenly without flaking. This also helps even the lips without any cracks, and protects the lips and keeps them hydrated.
