Owing to sedative and analgesic properties of this herb, it is acknowledged as one of the most effectual herbal remedy to get rid of pain with in a short span of time.

Athletic Stamina – The usage of maca for athletes indulged in intense athletic activities like bodybuilding is recommended by health experts due to the natural properties of this herb similar to anabolic steroids. Regular consumption of herbal tea prepared with maca endows athletes with enhanced stamina and also, assists in building muscles.

Drinking a decoction of maca also cures chronic fatigue syndrome and augments the detoxification process of body. It is advisable for bodybuilders to confine the intake of this herb to a maximum of two grams per day as it’s over dosage can lead to serious problems.
