Milk is considered as a complete food and is rich in vitamins and minerals. Milk consist of calcium, phosphorus, carbohydrate, zinc, magnesium, riboflavin, protein, vitamin A and B etc. Milk is essential for maintaining good health and to impart energy for normal activities.

Milk is found to be the best source of calcium and the deficiency of milk may cause osteoporosis. Milk calcium can also protect us from certain ailments like arthritis, headache, migraine, bone loss, pre menstrual syndrome and it will help to avoid the obesity in kids as it has the powers to remove the unwanted fats.

Benefits of Milk

Healthy Teeth

The phosphorus and calcium present in milk plays an excellent role in protecting the teeth and maintaining their health. Milk can protect the teeth’s enamel surface from acidic substances as it contains casein which forms a protective film over the enamel surface of the teeth. Milk can also protect the teeth from the carcinogenic substance present in our food.

Hydration

The endless work will dehydrate our body and we need to replace the water content. For this we have to take 8 glass of water per day. Instead of pure water if you take milk it will re-hydrate your body and also supplements the body with essential nutrients and will keep you refreshed.

Skin Care

Milk cream on applying on the skin will leave the skin smooth and soft. Milk cream will nourish the skin with essential nutrients and will protect and hydrate the dry skin.

Heart diseases

Milk is rich in calcium and an increased in take of calcium will reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the blood and will also increase the level of good cholesterol. Both these cholesterol level changes are beneficial for heart health. Calcium has also the powers to remove the excess fat from the body and thus protect us from heart diseases.

Diabetes

Milk contains calcium and magnesium which are helpful in controlling the blood sugar level. Also milk has low glycemic index which in turn is helpful for reducing the blood sugar.

Obesity

Daily in take of milk and milk products are found to reduce the excess weight of the body. Milk will help us to remove fat from abdominal region and thus protect us from many health ailments.
