Health Benefits of Noni Juice

January 12, 2010

For more than thousands of years the juice extracted from the Indian mulberry fruit or Morinda Citrifolia is used by the Polynesians for treating several ailments. In recent years, this traditional medicine of the Tahitians has become popular in the western world as a remedy for illnesses. The noni juice has traveled from the homes of the Tahitian folk healers to the posh departmental stores of the west.

The two major brands of noni juice that we find in the market are the Tahitian noni juice and the Hawaiian noni juice. However, the name or the brand of the noni juice hardly matters, because the juice is derived from the same fruit.

Nonetheless, the Indian mulberry plants growing in the pollution free environment and with organic farming, produce the best fruits for producing noni juice.

The Indian mulberry from which noni juice is extracted is an extremely nutritious fruit. It is a rich source of vitamins A, C and niacin. Abundant calcium, potassium and sodium are found in noni juice. It contains 18 amino acids and several beneficial plant nutrients.
