Healthy Hair Naturally

Are you suffering from hair fall or dandruff? Is your hair exceptionally dry and fizzy? Or does your hair look exceptionally greasy and oily; no matter which shampoo you use? Don’t worry! These are probably the commonest problems with which almost everyone suffers at some point or another.

The good news is that you don’t have to live with these. All you need to do is, take charge of your situation and implement the right steps with the right products.

Start by analyzing your hair type. Is your hair dry, oily, greasy, fizzy? If your hair is dry how dry is it and if it is oily how greasy is it?

Now, choose the right shampoo for your hair. Make sure you are using the shampoo which is suitable for your hair type. Otherwise, it can have a counter-effect. If your hair is dry, your shampoo should be creamy and gentle. But stay away from the ones with added conditioner. In case your hair is greasy, choose one which removes oil. Creamy ones are not for you at all.

Make sure that you wash your hair every day or atleast every alternate day. Hygiene is paramount to hair health. Haven’t you noticed the lumps of hair in your comb when you run it in dirty hair! But make sure you are using a gentle shampoo.

Those with dry hair can make a mixture of half a cup yogurt and a quarter cup of honey and apply it for 30 – 45 minutes. This would provide deep conditioning. After shampooing, add a few drops of honey to a mug of water and use it as a last rinse. Do it atleast twice a week for best results. Also, oil your hair with warm sesame oil before applying the pack. It would add to the benefits.

For greasy and dandruff prone hair, make a mixture of two tablespoons vinegar and 5 tablespoons warm water. Soak a cotton ball in it and apply to the roots of your hair. Leave it for atleast half an hour. You can also make a hair pack of amla, ritha and shikakai. Soak these overnight and make a paste. Add orange peel for a beautiful citrus aroma and apply to your hair. Keep it for about forty minutes and wash off with cool water. Use a mug of water to which a tablespoon of vinegar has been added as a last rinse.
