Hepatitis B is a viral disease that affects the liver . The DNA virus which causes Hepatitis B will remain in the blood serum. This gets transmitted through blood transfusion and also with direct contact with the bodily fluids. People who have unprotected sex and those who use intravenous drugs are prone to get this disease. Hepatitis B may cause liver failure, liver cirrhosis, liver cancer and at times leads to permanent liver scarring. Hepatitis infection during the initial six months is considered to be acute and after that it will become chronic hepatitis. The infected person may feel weakness, fatigue, yellowing on the skin, abdominal pain, joint pain, dark urine, vomiting, lack of appetite etc. The following Remedies may help you to get rid of this disease.

Liquorice Roots
Liquorice is found to have good anti viral properties. Hence you can take liquorice roots in the form of tincture, powder or liquid for getting rid of hepatitis B. But care should be taken to avoid the intake of too much liquorice roots as it may reduce the potassium levels of the body.
Artichoke
The active ingredient of artichoke called cynarin is highly useful in regulating the bile production.
Milk Thistle
Milk thistle is considered as a liver tonic and the seeds of milk thistle is widely used for this purpose. The active ingredient that is present in seeds is silymarin which aids in strengthening the outer membrane of the cells of the liver and thus helps to protect the liver. This in turn prevents the toxins from getting in to the liver. More than that silymarin stimulates the synthesis of protein in the cells of liver and thus aids the liver cells to regenerate and get repaired. The antioxidant property of silymarin is also beneficial for preventing the damage.
During the time of hepatitis B infection you need to take a well balanced diet which is low in fat. You should avoid the use of alcohol, smoking and raw shell fish.
