Herbal Bleaches For Glowing Skin
February 3, 2009
We all want to look good. And having flawless, even skin tone with few blemishes and dark spots is what most people crave. This can be taken care of quite easily. Bleaches are commonly available in the market today and help make the skin fairer and hide unwated hair quite effectively. However, cosmetic bleaches are formulated using chemicals, and can be harmful to the skin when used regularly in the long run.
The use of chemical bleaches makes the skin dry. The skin loses its natural moisture and starts to age faster. Also, the softness and natural glow in the face fast disappears, making the skin look very coarse and lacking appeal.
The effect of cosmetic bleach starts to wear off after a few days. Its heavy chemical nature makes it inappropriate to use very often. The skin then, starts to look dark and unhealthy, worsening the situation. The use of herbal bleach gives you one good solution to pigmentation, and also makes for a natural way out.
The use of herbal bleach involves the application of carrot, tomato, lime and corriander. Start by making a paste of the carrot. Squeeze the tomato with your hands and remove the pulp derived. Also squeeze the juice of the lemon, and make a paste of the corriander.
Start by washing the face using a mild baby soap or cleanser. Tone the face with either readily available toner if you have access to it, or use the juice of a cucumber. Then mix all the pastes and pulps you have made with the lime, carrot, tomato and corriander.
If you have exremely sensitive skin, you should be aware that your face might react to the use of too much lemon juice. Therefore, limit it to only about two or three drops and use a little honey in addition. Mix a little milk in it and see that you get a paste that resembles the consistency of bleach.
Leave this to refrigerate for about fifteen minutes before you apply to the face and neck using either your finger tips, or a brush. Leave on for about fifteen minutes before washing off with water and using mild baby soap if required. This treatment is safe to use as often as once a week.
