Herbal Remedies for Jaundice


Jaundice is referred to a disease caused by a disorder of liver which leads to failure or hindrance of bile producing liver cells. It is advisable for breastfeeding mothers to avoid breastfeeding during jaundice to prevent the spread of disease to neonates.

Silymarin – Since ages, this herb is used to heal disorders and inflammation of liver. A tincture prepared from Silymarin herb should be consumed at least 2 times a day for 7 days to strengthen the liver. It can also be consumed in form of fresh extract.

California Buckthorn – The use of california buckthorn to cure liver ailments is one of the most applied and trusted herbal remedies. Regular consumption of California buckthorn’s tincture provides with tremendous results in cases of jaundice caused by bile obstruction. This should be taken until the symptoms of jaundice disappear.

Rumex Crispus – The usage of rumex crispus herb for jaundice is very popular in European nations.
