Holistic Dieting – The Right Approach
Most diets are aimed at only weight loss. This is probably the biggest, main reason that we diet. Only, the outcome often tends to be a little less than what we desire. Abstinence from certain food types leave you lethargic, sometimes irritable and often craving foods.
The focus of dieting should actually be at arriving at wholesome goodness. Making wise substitutes in the choices of foods that we eat will not only give us a healthier approach to food, but will also help us in keeping away excess weight and health ailments. Try and increase your intake of vegetarian foods. Get it to a level where at least sixty percent of your intake comprises of fruits, vegetables, cereal and pulses. Natural grains and foods make for the most nourishing, balanced foods you can desire.
Abundance of water is a necessity. This is one resource you have no reason to cut back on. It helps hydrate the body and keep it well oiled, and also aids weight loss simultaneously.
Substitute your regular cooking oils for virgin olive oil. Instead, add a little ghee or coconut oil into your food. They are healthier fats to choose.
Avoid the use of refined foods. Try and stop using table salt in your cookign altogether. Use sea salt or rock salt instead. Avoid food colours, flavours and foods that contain preservatives.
Cut down on the usage of microwaves while cooking your food. This not only harms resources in foods that boost immunity, but are known to aid the incidence of cancer and other heart diseases.
Have plenty of greens, and foods rich in oxygen. These help oxidise foods better and promote good health.
Most importantly, stay happy and positive. Approaching your food and live in a more proactive and cheerful manner will help you sail through more easily.
