Home Remedies for Acne

Acne is a common and chronic problem of most youngsters of 12 years to 24 years. Acne is basically a skin disease where the sebaceous glands and the hair follicle tend to get provocative.
Causes
Acne is mostly caused because of unhealthy or improper diet. Unbalanced diet consisting of fried food, excessive sugar or spicy edibles cause acne. Chronic constipation is also a major cause. Unhealthy lifestyle, consumption of alcohol and tobacco and lack of exercise also cause acne.
Remedies
Acne occurs mostly due to lack of vitamins. One should consume correct doses of vitamin A and Vitamin E regularly. One must also consume sources of zinc and niacin daily for a month.
Garlic
Rub garlic on the acne several times a day for a month to ensure spotless skin. One may also eat 2-3 cloves of garlic a day to purify the blood and cure acne.
Orange Peel
Make a paste of orange peel and rose water and apply it on the face. This should be done daily for fifteen days to see any result.
Coriander, mint and turmeric
A paste of coriander juice and turmeric is an effective remedy for pimples and blackheads. This should be applied daily before going to bed. Mint juice can be also used as an alternative to coriander juice.
Fenugreek Leaves
Make a paste of fenugreek leaves and apply it all over the face and neck before going to bed. Wash it next morning with warm water. You will notice a clear skin in a fortnight.
Honey and Cinnamon
Make a paste of cinnamon powder and honey and apply to your face daily before going to bed. Wash it next morning with lukewarm water. Repeat this for 20 days and the pimples will disappear for ever.
Lemon
A mixture of lemon juice and rose water is to be applied to the affected areas. Leave it for an hour and wash off with cold water. This must be done for 20-25 days for the pimples to disappear. One may also try a mixture of lemon juice and ground nut oil. This is to be applied in the same way.
Other than this, one must take care of one’s diet. Eating a lot of fruits is compulsory for a good skin. Drink at least 3 litres of water. Avoid eating oily food, red meat, alcohol, soft drinks, and strong coffee and tea.
