Bedsore is a condition that affects bedridden patients. It is seen in hospitalized people, people in comma, elderly persons etc. When people lie on the bed for long then the blood supply to the part which gets pressurized continuously cuts off and causes bedsore. Bed sore starts as a red color on the skin and then in time it turns to purple and if left untreated then it breaks open and may cause infections. In certain cases it may affect the muscles and the bone also.
