Home Remedies for Dry Skin

Dry skin develops due to scarcity of oil in the skin. The oil glands in the skin produce only a little amount of oil and so the skin appears to be scaly and rough. In extreme cases there might be cracks on the skin. Dryness of the skin increases with high and low temperature, exposure to wind, sun, cosmetics, chemicals and nutritional deficiency. Extreme dryness of the skin may cause eczema, dermatitis, seborrhea, psoriasis etc.
