Home Remedies for Under Eye Dark Circles
A clear and glowing face is something that all want, irrespective of sex and age. No one can deny the joy of a pretty face and glowing skin. However, marks, blemishes and dark circles under the eyes tend to spoil that joy. Dark circles are a common problem these days, with heavy work schedules and increasing work load. The pollution and heavy traffic add to the problem.
But if we can spare fifteen to twenty minutes a day for ourselves, we can still take good care of our looks and remove those ugly unwanted dark circles under the eyes. This is where home remedies come in handy.
Usage of rose water to cool and soothe the eyes is the most common and effective method. Massage the area around the eyes with a few drops of rose water every night before going to bed for five to six minutes. One will notice the lightening of dark circles in a fortnight.
If the dark circles are really dark then one may try a mixture of mint paste and lemon juice. Two to three drops of lemon juice is to be added to one teaspoon of mint paste. This mixture is to be applied around the eyes evenly. Results will be noticed in fifteen days if applied daily.
If one has a very tight schedule then one must apply thin slices of cucumber on the eyes and relax for ten to fifteen minutes. This must be done twice a day even if one does not have dark circles. Usage of cucumber helps the eyes relax and rejuvenate and gives you a fresh look.
If one has dark circles and wrinkles under eyes and the skin is also getting dry then one must massage the area with a mixture of ten drops of almond oil and one-fourth teaspoon of honey.
This mixture should be gently massaged on the affected areas daily before going to bed. This not only reduces your dark circles and the fine lines under your eyes but almond oil also help to give volume to your eye lashes.
Apart from all these, one must consume at least three litres of water daily and sleep soundly for seven to eight hours.
