Home Remedy for Joint Pain

March 19, 2009

Joint pains are a sign of arthritis. They can get really acute if not taken care of at the right time. Joint pains occur for a lot of reason. An old injury in the knee or elbow can cause joint pain. Joint pains occur mainly because of the inflammation of the bursitis which are fluid filled sacs to cushion the bony parts of a joint. Injury to the tendons and ligaments can also cause joint pain.

Remedies

The best remedy to joint pain is Cinnamon. One teaspoon of cinnamon powder must be taken with one teaspoon of honey early morning in empty stomach. This must be done daily for a month. The remedy is very effective and cures joint pains for ever. However it produces a lot of gas in the stomach, so people with gastritis problem must avoid it.

Garlic cloves fried in butter is also a good remedy. One must consume this daily for a fortnight to get relief from joint pain.

Bananas are the best fruit for patients suffering from joint pain. Banana gives strength and grease to the joints and reduces the inflammation of the bursitis.

Chapattis made of roasted gram floor and clarified butter is the ideal food for patients of joint pain as gram floor and butter strengthen bones.

Tea made of papaya seed must be taken several times a day for 3 weeks to cure joint pain. Although the tea does not taste good, yet the cure is a miracle.

Carrot juice is a good cure for joint pains. It also tastes better than papaya seed tea. One may also try consuming a glass of milk with a pinch of turmeric daily to get relief from joint pain.

Apart from this, a regular hot oil massage is compulsory to cure joint pains. Never bath with cold water as that increases chances of arthritis. Also practice Gomukhasana to heel any form of joint pain.
