How To Cure Sore Throat With Natural Treatments
Sore throat is the infection in the throat region especially around the tonsils. The patient may feel irritation, inflammation and pain in the throat. It may be due to viral inflection like flu, cold, measles etc. You can go for natural treatment available at home and it will help you to get rid of the sore throat easily.
Remedies for Sore Throat
Salt water Gargle
Take a glass of hot water and add three teaspoon salt in to it. You can use this to gargle the throat. This will help you to get rid of the inflammation in the infected throat and relieves the pain.
Tamarind Extract
Tamarind is also found to be effective in treating sore throat. Take a handful of tamarind and soak this in two glasses of water. After sometime mash the tamarind and filter the extract. You can use this juice for gargling throat. Dried and powdered tamarind leaves can be mixed with water and can be used for gargling.
Fig Syrup
Fig syrup is another alternative to cure the sore throat. Mix one teaspoon of fig syrup in half cup of hot water. Drink this mixture after gargling and will give you relief from sore throat.
Fenugreek Seed Extract
Boil two teaspoon of crushed fenugreek seeds per cups of water and keep it in simmer for 10 more minutes. You can add honey, lemon, peppermint etc for improving the flavor and take at least three cups of this water daily.
Tea Leaves
Tea leaves boiled in water are also found to be a good home remedy for sore throat. You can also use this for gargling.
Marshmallow Roots
Marshmallow roots can also cure sore throat. Add one tablespoon of dried marshmallow roots to a cup of boiling water and keep it covered for 10 minutes. Then strain the liquid and drink three cups daily. The mucilage in marshmallow will help you to soothe the sore throat.
Apple Cider Vinegar Tea
Make a tea with one teaspoon apple cider vinegar, juice taken from ¼ lemons, one teaspoon honey and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Drink at least 4 cups daily and get benefited.
