How To Get Glowing Skin

Glowing skin seems to the new age fixation. The numerous skin care products gloriously resting on supermarket shelves are an indication of the craze for beautiful skin.

The marketing gurus and the pundits of the cosmetic industry are trying so hard to tell us that beautiful glowing skin can be bought in a bottle or in a tube. But this is the biggest myth that needs to be busted. Now, if we cannot make our skin beautiful by merely using those products then how exactly can we attain beautiful skin?

Beautiful skin is the result of a healthy lifestyle, proper diet, self discipline and good skin care. There is no one single thing that alone can make your skin glow. It is important to take care of all the factors only then you can hope to have flawless beautiful skin. Now, is it really worth all the efforts? Well, it certainly is. After all, beautiful glowing skin never goes out of fashion.

Form a diet chart for yourself. Your diet should be rich in fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, be mindful of food combinations. Do not eat raw and cooked food items at the same time, moreover, fruits should never be had along with or after a meal.

They should always be had on an empty stomach or atleast two hours after a meal. Similarly, milk should not be had with sour food items. Being mindful of food combination helps one derive maximum benefits as this amplifies the absorption of nutrients.

It is also very important to do some exercise that boosts blood circulation. Yoga, by far, is the best for this as the asanasas that require an inverted posture helps boost blood flow towards the face. Regular yoga practise would not only make your skin glow but would also deliver several anti-aging benefits to your skin. You should also regularly dry brush your entire body (except your face) with a natural bristle brush to boost lymphatic drainage. This helps in detoxifying the body.

Moreover, stay away from chemical cleansers. They do more harm than good. Instead prepare your own cleanser by taking some red lentil powder, gram flour, neem powder and cinnamon powder. Mix all of them in raw milk or yoghurt to form a thick paste.

You can also add the juice of one-fourth lime. Apply the paste onto your damp skin and massage for a couple of minutes. It would help loosen dead skin cells while also cleansing the skin from deep within. Use it two-three times in a day to get maximum benefits.

You can also take some fresh cucumber juice, potato juice, a few drops of orange essential oil and honey. Mix all of them and apply a thin layer on the skin. Keep it on the skin till the juices dry off. Wash off with cold water and pat dry. It would nourish and hydrate your skin from within while also helping you get rid of dark spots and other skin imperfections.

Apart from all these, maintain a positive attitude and do regular meditation.
