How To Maintain Beautiful Nails

Beautiful long nails are essential for maintaining your appearance. But maintaining long nails are not as easy as there are chances for nails getting broken.

If you have the habit of picking or biting nails then it will damage your nails and these damaged nails looks unattractive and won’t grow easily. Hence you must give proper care to your nails.

Tips for healthy nails

If you want attractive nails then you must give proper attention and care to your nails. You should wear gloves while washing clothes, dishes and also while working in gardens. It will be better to use rubber gloves that have cotton lining. This will protect your nails from chemicals present in detergents, dish wash etc. These chemicals are found to weaken your nails and then nails may get broken easily.

For getting beautiful and strong nails you have to cut your nails timely and keep it short till your nail attain sufficient strength. There after grow your nails. You have to clean the dirt concealed with in your nails and protect them from trauma. Also remove the dead skin and cuticle around your nails and never pull them manually. This is because manual pulling may cause infection, discomfort and even breakage of nails.

Apply good quality moisturizers on your hands and nails and this will protect your nails from dehydration. Dehydrated nails may break easily. It will be always better to apply moisturizers just before sleeping. If you have weak nails then you can strengthen your nails using strengthening clear polishes.

Also try to limit the use of nail polish removers as most of them may harm your nails by dehydrating them. If you are using nail polish removers then use the ones that do not have formaldehyde and acetone.

Diet

For maintaining the health of the nails you have to take a balanced diet that contains foods rich in vitamin B, A and D. foods rich in calcium and biotin will also help you to improve the strength of your nails. It will be useful to include a lot of vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. Drink a lot of water to keep yourself hydrated.
